About the Journal

The JOR was created with the aim of disseminating scientific content from various areas of knowledge. The editor-in-chief, while still a graduate student, together with colleagues who formed his research group always questioned some relevant items of scientific contribution:

  • Scientific content must be open and accessible;
  • All scientific contribution is relevant: the replication of a research from another country on the Brazilian environment has a relevant contribution, and it is not necessary to be innovative. The replication of a research with another object of study is also relevant, as it can demonstrate the robustness of the method used;
  • Valorization of publications in Brazilian journals;
  • Valorization of Brazilian publishers in face of Brazilian research;
  • Many researchers do not master other languages and Brazilian research ends up benefiting more other countries. Support for other languages are relevant too, so the content could benefit entire scientific community;
  • Research should be an engine for the development of the economy, whenever possible, giving relevance to research that can guarantee national development.
